Level Designs & Past Projects

This is a concept level for a current project, also example of some 'group movement' mechanics from a current project.
Past Projects
This top down space shooter was made at the request of Full Sail University during course work. The intention was from scratch code and build a top down shooter with a proper scrolling background. While many students made this almost 1 for 1 how the instructor requested, mine is subsequently different. I asked specifically to be able to make my own game thus why one thing instantly noticeable is how players don't exactly translate to the same coordinates on screen edge.
This project was a level design request using very basic assets to conserve frame rate. The entire intention was to simply program and design a level with 2 pick ups, each required to access a door that would lead to a final room. The final pickup as per instruction was to simply register a message telling the player what key to press and lead to a fly over camera.
This was the last major digital project I worked on. It was a requirement to make a level for a game called 'Scraps' where the player played as a scavenger collecting scrap from the world for money. The level had to have a displayable HUD, ability to move objects around, proper level design techniques used. Code for this one is sadly unavailable due to it being a school project and the Perforce folders were purged.
Script Examples
The images below are scripting examples for player movement and the boss AI in the space shooter game. The final scripts are the current scripts being used to pick up and move objects from a previous project. Click to enlarge images.

Concept Scenes & Art:
Below are a few scenes that I have rendered, all of these are concept art for various game idea's I've had in the past. I look forward to providing more of these in the future. Some of this is for a current project I'm working on, concept art for the characters also an example of the language primer for a race I've created.

Animation
Below is one of the first animations I've ever done. It became a self project as I was watching a streamer I like play Binding of Isaac. While he didn't 'need' a new intro at all I had an idea for one and designed it. This was never really intended for use but more as practice. Its all keyframed animation and entirely done in Maya.
